In the foothills of the Sierra Morena in Extremadura, in the heart of the Dehesa, a unique ecosystem made up of the largest holm oak forest in the world, lies Jerez de los Caballeros.

The house is part of what was once the Convent of Consolation, founded in 1499 after the Knights of the General Visitor of the Order of Saint Francis stayed in Jerez. In the 18th century, it passed to the Third Order, until its secularization.
With the Mendizábal confiscation in 1835, it was sold to the State and used as an electrical factory and school. In 1893, it was converted into a private home.
In 1973, it was acquired by the current owners, who carried out a thorough renovation to modernize it while preserving its original essence. Since then, numerous restoration and improvement projects have been carried out.
